Might be the most underrated lunch restaurant in North Dallas? We've never ordered a disappointing meal, plus the food is healthier and more filling than most other restaurants. Our favorites are the peanut butter bowl with crispy chicken and the Austin Heat sandwich.
Great classic chicken burger and kids chicken sandwich. Tenders were also great. Needs a little salt but hit the spot! Thai crunch salad didn't taste like Thai sweet dressing, more on vinegar sour side but was very fresh still and paired well with the burger instead of fries. I accidentally ordered the ground chicken cilantro patty one in trying to just pick a different style burger, so be sure to ask for the crispy chicken patty with whichever burger style you pick. Hubby liked his Nashville hot chicken. Will be back!
Try this place! Everything was wonderful...served hot, with the freshest ingredients, well cooked & great flavor. We'll be back!
I love this restaurant! Always so welcoming in here. Food is fresh, healthy, and a mix between American and Arabic. The decor in this restaurant is honestly so cute. Lots of wooden tables and chairs (I noticed they upgraded their furniture too). The walls are covered with many different colored chickens from creative young artists (you'll see what I mean when you visit this place). One of the very few restaurants in Dallas I often visit and truly enjoy.
I got the teriyaki bowl. You can choose between grilled or crispy chicken and I got grilled. Bowl tastes healthy and was filling. I finished the whole bowl. The staff are really nice and they did their best to accommodate our big group (around 20 people) and had to get their plastic silverware because they were running out of the others.
Solid lunch spot, good value and quantity for price. Left very full and satisfied. Restaurant is p large, lots of seating when I went in for lunch. Ordered at the counter, sat down, and food was brought to me pretty quick. The ginger chili bowl was satisfying. The chicken was really well cooked, very juicy and paired well with the sauce, rice and veggies. The sauce is on the sweeter side if you like that. The veggies were fresh but flavor wise nothing special. Overall the meal leaves you full and satisfied, but also does not feel incredibly heavy or oily
Looking for a quick lunch spot and stumbled on this amazing place! Really a great combo of food options and prices. Got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and fries. The sandwich was delicious. Super flavorful and big. The fries were seasoned really well and cook perfectly. (nothing worse than limp fries) Great place to grab a quick delicious meal at a very affordable price!
Loved the sandwiches that we got. We ordered the Austin Heat and the Nashville Hot. Austin Heat was spicier (both spicy), and Nashville had a nice cream sauce on it. Both came out hot in temperature, so we know it was fresh! Cute place inside. 4/5 because they had old menus online that the prices were a lot different. I know COVID messed up prices but just wasn't expecting the increase after having just looked at an online menu that was much lower than the store.
We hadn't been in to Angel Chicken Kitchen in awhile and I'm not sure why? I know that I've enjoyed anything that I've ever ordered here! Hubby and I were warmly greeted when we walked in and that just set the tone for an enjoyable dining experience! It was probably the manager or owner, but he was just the nicest, most personable guy! Like he genuinely appreciated us stopping in. We were craving a chicken breast sandwich and this one really hit the spot! We ordered it "to-go" and sat at a table while our order was prepared just as we ordered it. I enjoyed all of the rooster coloring pages that kids had beautifully colored and they were proudly displayed on the walls. There was other fun, cute chicken decor to enjoy while we waited. Great food and atmosphere and I can't wait to come back!!
ACK, with all its simple, farm pride decor, serves some slammin' fried chicken and does hard-working customers of all preferences proud whether you wanna eat healthy or get down n' dirty. My wife and I seesaw the spectrum since every dish we've had here is simply stellar. First and foremost, Hill Country. If you're going to ACK for the first time, this is what you will order. It's not a suggestion. It's a command. The jalapeño jam and goat cheese combo paired with their practically perfect fried chicken recipe on a super crumbly biscuit will make your eyes roll into your head and leave 'em there until about 15 mins. after you finished this bad boy. All their biscuit sandwiches are going to give you the "happies" but Hill Country does take the cake. Gotta hand it to a place serving fried chicken - they know not everyone wanting fried chicken wants the stuffed-gut guilt usually contributed by the accompaniment of french fries or mashed potatoes. I love that ACK has these healthy bowls of delicious veggies and quinoa (rice is another option). I have personally tried the teriyaki bowl and the peanut butter honey chili bowl, and both give me that rare balance of drowning in deliciousness but not because I'm weighed down feeling like I ate 5 lbs. of abhorration. It's great that a place can offer the two sides of the culinary coin with consistent, remarkable flavors. To add to the long list of positives - great prices under $10 a dish!
